Boss Hogg's - Redbank Plains

I cannot understand how anyone could give this place 4 or 5 stars. Despite some positive reviews, we decided to stop off the highway for dinner. We requested no chips but received a huge mountain of them, and asked for a bowl of green vegetables but got a bowl filled mainly with frozen corn, carrots, and a few green beans. The meat was rotten and of poor quality, dry, and overcooked, making us feel sick. The service was slow and the waiter seemed surprised that someone had entered the door. After tasting the food, it was clear why - it was very disappointing. I will never return to this restaurant.

We recently ordered the special with chicken wings and ribs at this restaurant. The meal came with soggy frozen crinkle-cut chips, fatty garlic bread, dry coleslaw, a disappointing salad, and a bottle of soft drink. The ribs and wings were good, but when we tried to order just the wings and ribs on their own, we were told we had to purchase the entire special with no changes allowed. We were unhappy with this policy and decided not to return to the restaurant. Despite trying to support local businesses during the lockdown, the cook and owner refused to accommodate our request. We didn't want to waste food like we had to do during our last visit. We had previously recommended this place to family and friends, but now we will inform them of the unsatisfactory customer service we experienced.

My family was excited to try the all-you-can-eat ribs and wings on a rainy night. We decided to give it a shot. Eight out of ten of us went for the all-you-can-eat option, while the other two ordered from the menu. The restaurant was located in an industrial area, which was a pleasant surprise. The decor was beautiful, the seats were comfortable, and the atmosphere was lovely. The air conditioning was a bit too cold and blew too hard on us, but it wasn't a major issue. The service was quick and our food arrived promptly. The chicken wings were hot, juicy, and delicious. The ribs were incredibly tender and melted in our mouths. Our first plate included 3 wings and 2 rib sections. For our second round, we had 2 wings and another rib section, which was a great second course. It was nice to only have ribs and wings with a small side of coleslaw as a token gesture. There were no chips or bread to fill us up unnecessarily. We left feeling comfortably full and satisfied. Make sure to follow their Facebook page and keep an eye out for half-price beer nights.

Came for dinner on special ribs and steak night. Very reasonable price and steak came as desired with delicious ribs and sauces on the side. We also had a portion of chips and Coleslaw. However, there was a disadvantage that we... in a stand next to a very loud family group with children who seemed encouraged to make a lot of noise and amok around the restaurant and in and out of the main door. This isn't McDonalds and it spoiled our family there. We couldn't hear we're talking about the din. We regret that we did not ask to stay away from this group, as the restaurant had many empty stands. This would be a clear shutdown to come back, which is a shame.

I don't know if the mashed potato was from a packet or part of, but it certainly tasted like it. Ooh a bowl of veggies.....don't get excited....beans, carrot and a frozen corn cobette. Chicken schnitzel tasteless. Staff not interested.
