Great Malaysian curry ..quickly and good value. Had the coconut chicken curry w rice and it was delicious. Not usually fond of takeaway or fast food but this one rates well.
Thought I'd give this place a go for lunch today on my break. Ordered the Satay Chicken with rice and I gotta say it's as good as what you'd get in a restaurant! Will definitely be a regular. Super fast as well! sweettoothbeliever.blogspot.com
So not impressed! The vegetarian option for chicken satay is remove the chicken (meal is $6.90) price stays at $6.90 for NO chicken but to add tofu $2 so my meal was $8.90!!! I suggested he exchange chicken for tofu. Nope. Won't go back. Rip off
I'm not one to frequent shopping mall food courts all that often to be honest, other than when the craving for a McChicken hits (which is very rarely, hey we all have our vices). But we've taken to having a session at the gym every Saturday, followed by breakfast somewhere in the general vicinity - often ending up at our local shops - Mt Ommaney - for a Coffee Club standard. However this weekend we got off to a later start and by the time we got to Mt Omm, it was way past breakfast. It was also way past being able to get a seat at the Coffee Club. But then I recalled having seen a new malaysian place go in next to Maccas in the food court, so that's where we found ourselves. So I was prepared to be disappointed to be completely honest - we love our spicy asian food and I wasn't really expecting to get it at a food court (I'm starting to sound a little bit like a food snob here, aren't I? lol). Anyway as it has been forever since I've had laksa (and not had a really good one since Tony left Stir Fry Cafe at Jindalee forever ago - well apart from in Penang) I decided it was probably the thing I could be least disappointed by - it's noodles, it's soup, even if it's not too spicy it can't be all bad. Hubby went with one of his favourites - the roti canai. Well blow me down - the food was superb. Seriously good grub - the laksa was fantastic - super spicy, lots of chicken and tofu, plenty of both egg and rice noodles - my tastebuds couldn't believe what they had lucked out on. Hubby also raved about his roti canai. No dumbing down the flavours at this place. The menu is small, but I plan to eat my way through it now I know how good they are. The biggest issue now is that they aren't open at night - damned shame (well except for Thursdays). And I can't believe I just typed that review - just goes to show, you never know unless you try!
