The food was excellent, especially the meat cutter who was amazing and had a great attitude. The manager should be replaced for not providing enough support. Donna was also lovely. The staff here need better support. Come on, Toby, step up your game! And give Alex a raise, he deserves it.
I recently discovered this charming little restaurant near the Charlie Brown's roundabout. I highly recommend stopping by to support Toby, as you won't be disappointed. From the friendly service at the bar to the attentive table service and delicious food selection, this place is a gem. The staff embody good old-fashioned manners and British hospitality, making it a pleasant dining experience. Keep up the great work!
The restaurant has fantastic food and an excellent staff! The people here are always very friendly and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend this place and suggest making a reservation before going!
If your a family of 6 or more my advice is book somewhere else as they don’t take bookings of 6 or more on Sundays … there is 10 of us and we have been taking our mother in law (92) here for the past 15 years for her birthday no problem . I have been calling the carvery all week to book and left my number no returned call… finally got through this afternoon to be told ‘ we don’t take large bookings ‘ !!!! I then asked if we could have a table for 6 and a table for 4 !!! Can’t do that either, as can’t put tables next to each other . What a complete waste of time . Thank you for spoiling a 92 year old lady’s birthday meal with her family . By the way we were locals for years . Julie and John
Shocked, this place is dire, tried to order a cheese and chitney yorkie wrap… sorry we dont have any, we inly have white bread ??? If i wanted a cheese sandwich i would have got one in tesco for £2, not pay nearly £6, so i passed on that, husband had gammon and mustard in dry white, stale bread and roast potatoes that were clearly left overs that had been microwaved, turning them into rubber balls. And a pot of brown gloop they called gravy, grandaughter had a dish of microwaved mac and cheese and a pot of baked bean mush. Disgusting is the only word to describe it. A pint of guiness was served in a glass that had been used for some sort of blackcurrant drink, it smelt and tasted of it. And to cap it off, there are no ladies toilets
