Eastern Paradise - Redcar and Cleveland

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the portions are generous. The service is great and there is a wide variety of choices on the menu. I would definitely recommend this place.

I traveled to Saltburn in a motorhome for the first time today. My husband walked the dog around the takeaways to check out the menus, and we decided on Chinese food. The BBQ ribs were amazing, and the beef chow mein and chips were delicious. I would definitely come back here just to visit this Chinese restaurant again. We placed our order over the phone, and 20 minutes later we picked it up.

This was my first time dining at The Paradise, as I usually go to Min Do. However, Min Do has been terrible since they renovated their shop. The Paradise may be slightly more expensive, but the quality is exceptional. This was my first time trying it and I have absolutely no complaints. The food was delicious.

Please don’t let the first impressions put you off, and yes I know you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, but in this instance please make this an exception, and I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant is up for sale, as the owner Tony, whose now 77 years young has decided to hang his Wok up and retire. However that hasn’t stopped them serving exceptional Chinese fayre. The highlight of the evening was the sizzling lamb in garlic and chilli, outstanding! We also had the mixed starter and the aromatic duck, which were also very good. I do hope someone does come along and take the restaurant over, and yes bring it upto date. But at the end of the day, it’s the food that counts, and at the moment it remains “ top drawer”.

Phoned in a delivery and waited an hour and 20 minutes for food...had to ring them up and ask where our food was they said they couldnt get a delivery driver and instead of ringing us and telling us they left us to wait for 1 hour and 20 minutes plus we would have to wait a further 30 minutes for the manager to ring us back...absolute disaster of service. totally disorganized and appalling way to treat customers.
