Golden Star Chinese Food - Redding

The won ton soup was amazing and full of vegetables, and won tons. The broth was light and delicious. I really enjoyed my meal here as well as the atmosphere.

I was a little nervous about coming here. We couldn’t get a taxi/Uber/Lyft to downtown so ‘settled’ for a more local restaurant. I’m pretty picky about food and had eaten a ‘so-so’ meal at a steak restaurant nearby the previous night but this meal was delicious. We had sizzling beef, Singapore Mei Fun, and sui mai dim sum. The mains were tasty and fresh (crunchy vegetables, well cooked meat). The servers were delightful and helpful. Great.

Horrible service. The second the server realized I was ordering take out, she was annoyed and impatient with me. I used to be a server so I would've left a 20% tip (for take out) had she not been so rude to me.I ordered 3 main dishes and an appetizer, received 3 packets of soy sauce and was told I had to pay if I wanted more.The food wasn't bad but I wasn't really impressed.Will never got back and would definitely not recommend.

General chicken, Mongolian beef, wonton soup, pork fried rice all very delicious. Staff very friendly. Restaurant is clean.
