Panda South Chinese - Redding

I was really disappointed with my recent experience at the restaurant. The Mongolian Beef had a terrible smell and taste, and there was hardly any meat in it. The house fried rice smelled earthy and tasted stale. I also received the house mustard late, as I had to go back to ask for it. My last few visits have also been unsatisfactory. I'm asking for a refund this time! They should focus more on improving their food and service rather than on the distractions going on around Redding, CA.

I haven't visited the airport restaurant yet, but I've tried every other Chinese restaurant in Redding, and in my opinion, this one serves the best-tasting food.

I ordered the General Tso's chicken lunch, which includes your choice of rice and an egg roll. I requested it to be extra spicy. My boyfriend opted for the Sesame Chicken dinner, which also includes everything in the lunch but comes with an additional side of stir fry noodles. The batter on the chicken for both dishes is wonderfully crispy, striking a perfect balance—not too much breading, yet enough to enhance the dish. The portion sizes are generous and satisfying, and the sauces are not overly garlicky. Both lunch and dinner meals start with a soup, which is a nice touch. While I don't often come across pork egg rolls, theirs are outstanding, making them my go-to place for egg rolls in town. The crab wontons and paper-wrapped chicken are also excellent. Overall, if you're searching for a Chinese restaurant that stands out from the many options available, I highly recommend Panda South. Lastly, the staff is consistently respectful and accommodating, and there doesn't seem to be much of a language barrier, which can often be an issue in ethnic restaurants.

This place is super amazing try the sesame chicken they use a cornstarch batter so it's a nice thin crispy fried chicken not tempura style

Ordered food for 6 and the squid was freezer burn, chewy, the batter was horrible. Everything else was fine. I called to let them know and they said it was my fault that I took too long to come pick it up. That's why it looked and tasted that way. I won't ever be vack
