And the customer service was the best Ms. Nicole was very nice and the food came fast and the macaron ice cream sandwich was the best! I am coming here again tomorrow for sure!
Our favorite shabu shabu place in the South Bay. We come here twice per week and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Their kimchi soup base and signature cut beef are delicious.
Been craving hot pot... I normally go to Haidilao in Santa Monica, but decided to try something new. FLAVOR (3/5):1. GYOZA: Yum!2. FRIED OYSTER: This was a test to see if I actually don't like fried oysters or if it was just the restaurants I've been to. My friends liked this, so final verdict is I just don't like fried oysters!3. BROTH (Tonkotsu w/ added spice, ribeye prime, and prime short rib): The broth didn't really taste like tonkotsu to me. It tasted more like pure spice. Most of the flavor came from the sauces (they have you grind your own sesame to make a sauce). I combined the soy and peanut sauce and added some chili oil. SERVICE (4/5):Service was good. You can't control your own heat levels which is a bummer. AMBIENCE (3.5/5):Casual bar seating with some limited table seating. Good for a casual night out. PARKING (4/5):They have limited parking in the back.TAKEAWAYS:Haidilao is still my go-to for hot pot in terms of flavor and options for sides/sauces. I'm not sure I'd come back.
Came here on a Thursday and got seated quickly within an hour before closing. There was construction so it was a bit hard to find. Favorite broth was the tonkotsu. Was surprised it was vegetarian but creamy. The meats were also good with generous portions. Really friendly service.Food: 5/5
Pretty good shabu spot in South Bay area. I like to order the spicy tonkatsu broth which is a vegetarian base. They do charge $1 extra to make it spicy. The spice level has a nice kick but is not too overwhelming. The quality of the signature cut is very good for the price compared to the other cuts. It seems tho that they increased their prices quite significantly. The portion was quite small especially for the price. Each order comes with a bowl of veggies which has a nice assortment of greens and other sides. The ponzu and sesame sauce is quite tasty as well. Make sure to ask for the condiments if it's not on the table already. I like to put radish, garlic, green onion, and chili oil in my sauces. There is mostly bar seating and maybe a few tables in the back which I don't mind but might not be the best for larger parties.
