The reception and dining areas of the motel have been renovated, but breakfast is served in a restaurant down the street with only two menu options available. The motel's furnishings feel straight out of the 1960s, complete with outdated carpeting and Motel 6-style furniture. Additionally, the bathroom fan was so noisy that it was practically unusable. I hope the renovations extend to all the rooms in the future. For now, I would recommend looking for another motel.

This hotel provided a comfortable stay for us. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve had. The room was quiet and the air conditioning worked well. Our grandson really enjoyed the pool. There was some construction in the lobby, but check-in was conveniently moved to a room on the first floor. Because of the construction, the hotel generously offered us vouchers for breakfast at Leonas Café across the street, which was a nice touch and quite good.

The pool area felt like a sauna, with no climate control, and the same went for the exercise room. To make matters worse, the oven was broken for two days, and the staff struggled to understand the issue. Unfortunately, it wasn’t fixed by the time I checked out. The breakfast room was closed during my stay as well. When I mentioned these problems during checkout, the staff simply apologized. The outdoor hallways were dirty, and a power washer could really improve the appearance of this place. I’ve had enough of my experiences with Best Western.

Here is my super positive review (while it keeps real): I wanted to enjoy the commemorative day in the middle of Reedsport and got a lot more than I negotiated in this hotel. Bob, her maintenance professional, went out and got the family 4 of his camping chairs so that we could salute the veterinarians in the parade. He was also there to make sure we were happy and we were very happy! I would have given this review 5 stars if there was an elevator to take us to the second floor and if the view outside the windows was a little more beautiful, but the staff was really sweet, and this is just a super well maintained little city hotel finally, not a resort. It was just so refreshing to be in this hotel. I'm just so sick of the attitude you get in other hotels where people don't really want to work there. In this gem you get good hard working people! I had no idea that there would be a separate room and how nice the kitchen was with the big fridge. It was very valuable and I appreciated all the items in the kitchen for the guests.

We were two of us. For medical reasons, we needed a ground level room. We also asked for a view of the river and a quiet room. All of these requests were granted. Although the room was somewhat dated, it was quite satisfactory and very clean. (That was the reason of the very good rating instead of excellent . My major criticism was that the second day 's breakfast was not very good, whereas the first day 's breakfast was outstanding. The cost was very low considering that there was an event happening in the area and very fews hotels had any availability.
