Les Folies Cafe - REGGIO DI CALABRIA

Located in the same Piazza as Reggio Centrale train station, basically next door to the more traditional Bar Garibaldi, Les Folies is a more contemporary take on the classic Italian cafe bar. Serving up much of the same drinks and snacks, the difference is in the presentation, with a slick, modern, aesthetic both inside and out that helps it stand out. Black and white marble and glass design, staff smartly dressed, it’s a little bit of effort that does make it stand out. I stopped for lunch and the quality of food was good. I had a pizza slice and an arancini washed down with a cola that came to around €8 which I was happy with. Fully recommend stopping for a bite before/after a train journey

Six of us wanted a light lunch before taking the train home and this was EXCELLENT. Staff made up a table for us and made us welcome. Really nice pannini (rolls) soft and well filled, generous pizza slices all enjoyed. Great selection of snack items from pasta right through to scrummy cakes!! So good that we took a tray for our journey back. Really close to the station so perfect all round.

Twice we had coffee and cornetto here as it is just near the main station. The place is spotless, the staff efficient, the coffee and yummy things delicious and very well priced. They bake all the goodies on site. For two Americano coffees and two huge chocolate cornettos, €3.60 the lot which is the cheapest we have paid anywhere.
