Pepys Pizzeria - REGGIO DI CALABRIA

According to estimates, we expected more. I do not recommend this restaurant since nothing of great plate of seafood was not tasty. Pizza less. No environment is not top notch. The only thing that pleasantly surprised the bill, otherwise it would have been a total failure. Not expensive.

An excellent restaurant for pizzas, with a good atmosphere and kindly service. Very good value, too. Just away from the main throughfares, but worth walking to.

The last few times I’ve visited Reggio I haven’t been able to visit Pepys due to it being closed for summer (in high season they move to a pizzeria on the beach that I’m assuming is excellent because you can’t get near it) so finally visiting out of season I managed to scratch this particular itch. The pizzeria, located at the far end of Garibaldi from the train station, is actually quite small in stature with a handful of tables inside and out. The bright side is that if you’re there it tends to be in quiet season so there’s a good chance of you getting a place. The pizza I had was excellent. Not ‘best ever’ material but still very good, well cooked, in a timely fashion, and for a good price. It’s hard to really knock that and I’ll definitely be back

Good price, good pizza, friendly staff and everything is fresh of course : You have to try everything there.
