Rustic place with stone and wooden walls, the kind and friendly owners who immediately put you at ease, the food is all based on typical local Calabrian products, healthy, genuine and tasty cuisine, good salami and cheeses, the first courses with sauce pork and the one with broccoli, second courses are good lamb and pork accompanied by a good local wine.
The food is excellent, it's not often you get to try real typical recipes designed and created with real attention to the tastes and ingredients that characterize a territory. Added to this is the educational experience linked not only to the dishes, as the restaurant, already typical in itself in appearance, includes a series of museum elements inspired by culture and traditions, which the staff contributes to preserving and enhancing with right dignity and a lot of passion. If all the entrepreneurs in the sector in the area had the same approach, we would live only on tourism in this province. A special thank you and see you soon!
The place of Marcello and Giovanna, spouses and managers is certainly a special place. Marcello's choice, after various life experiences, was to return to a difficult but beautiful place, Cardeto, to recover identity and tradition. It must be said that he succeeded perfectly. The museum of Calabrian tradition is the perfect setting for catering based entirely on the offer of genuine foods in terms of raw materials and preparation. Extensive use of high quality cured meats and cheeses. Abundant appetizers characterized by the use of mountain herbs (the fried meatballs with herbs are delicious). Excellent bean soups and the traditional macaroni that are inevitable and delicious. Second courses of roasted sausages and bacon cutlets with a special flavour. Citrus salads and much more served with sensitivity and discretion by Marcello and Giovanna.

Se ci fossero altre stelle, odierei di piu'. La cena al tipico non è una semplice cena, ma molto altro. è un'esperienza nel cuore della tradizione culinaria calabrese, del passato della calabria attraverso gli oggetti e gli utensili presenti nel ristorante. E' come entrare nella casa di un mattatoio e di un ragazzo. cibo assolutamente ottimo, tutto stagionale e la zona. molto caloroso benvenuto. prezzo eccellente, per la qualità e la quantità di ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Torneremo sicuramente.
