This is for both locations in Regina: They have good specials and a lot to offer.Where else can you get a Corona for $4 on Monday, a Caesar for $4 on Tuesday, or a pint of Stella for $5 on Sunday?Their burgers are actually very good, some say the best in the city and they are $5 off off Monday. Perhaps their best food are their steaks: The steak tips and bourbon street steak are unique and better than anywhere else. The shrimp and parm steak is also nice if you enjoy shrimp. The lounges are also nice and quiet if you don't like the more noisy equivalents where you can barely talk. They are not run down or dirty like countless Regina bars and frank fully they are good for watching sports if you don't want really annoying and loud fans. The service here is also usually good considering the management actually trains their staff thoroughly versus other restaurants who don't under the steps of service. You'll actually see servers here do quality checks, refill drinks quickly or show better service than supposedly classier places. Their managers are usually attentive to the needs of the customer, especially Prit and that one lady manager. I should mention that Applebee's will actually do something for you if you've had a bad meal or experience; as in they will actually try to make customers happy instead of giving them nothing and being cheap. Overall you get a good deal at Applebee's and their food is very good, especially their burgers and steaks. (I believe there is $5 off steaks every Thursday which is a good deal).I almost forget but I think kids either eat for free or the meals are very inexpensive so I'd say it's a very kid friendly establishment.Give it a chance and you won't be disappointed.
Two of us in the group ordered Brewhouse Chicken from the Feel Good section of the menu. It was perfect! Lots of red-skinned mashed potatoes,(could have been more garlic), tasty gravy, good sized portion of chicken breast with a crispy coating, topped with melted cheese and a mound of thin crispy onion rings. A great meal - had to eat it all!!! Others ordered the lunch size oriental chicken salad and oriental chicken wrap. All were happy with their meals.
My wife and I were in Regina for a union rally and some shopping and decided to try Applebee's because we have always wanted to try it but never had the chance because most of our time is spent in Stoon and this restaurant is exclusively here. We were in shortly after 1 on a Wednesday afternoon and noticed there was one young lady working the front of the house. We were still seated in good time and had the menus in minutes. She was working hard making drinks in the bar, serving food and seating new customers. I wish I could remember her name so I could write it here. I had the brunch burger which was fantastic and my wife had the Asian salad which she said was good. The manager came out to apologize for the wait and explained that the start of lunch was slow so he sent some of the staff home to give the day off. It got kinda busy while we were there but they both handled it. We will be back the next time we are in Regina. Next time we'll try the bar and stay longer.
Good flavour with plenty of meat balls in the Italian wedding soup but for $4 plus tip I could have enjoyed a couple of cans of soup at home. We were seated right away and our server was helpful. Once we ordered it seemed to take a while to get a bowl of soup and a soup and salad plate. The salad was ample and the French onion soup tasted good. It was good that we weren't in a hurry because it seemed even longer for someone to come and clear up the table and offer us the check. Not my favorite restaurant but not the worst one either.
