The prices are reasonable, but watch out for extra charges, like for no ice. It's interesting how in other countries adding ice often results in a price hike. Most customers might not mind, but boba enthusiasts are likely to notice this trend at other shops as well. I'm a big fan of their milk foam teas. The dragon fruit tea with milk foam is particularly delightful, boasting a nice frothy texture. Close behind in my favorites is the strawberry green tea with foam, along with their freshly brewed oolong milk tea, which has a robust flavor I've come to appreciate over the years. Do keep in mind that service can be quite slow, especially on weekends. To reduce wait times, I recommend ordering through their app. They accept both credit cards and cash. In some ways, Tbaar reminds me of Halal Guys in its original location—eventually, they may pop up on every corner without much competition. And yes, I recognize that mall terminology often refers to these places as kiosks!
This is probably one of the worst hot boba tea drinks I've ever had. It was very inconsistent compared to other TBaar locations in NYC. I ordered the hot boba tea, which only comes in a single size of 12 ounces — much smaller than I expected, especially since it costs the same as the larger cold option. The flavor was off; it tasted more like almond powder mixed with milk, with hardly any tea flavor at all. The boba also had a slight hardness in the center, which was disappointing.
Prob one of the worst hot boba tea drinks I’ve had. Very inconsistent with other TBaar locations in NYC. Got the hot boba tea drink that is only one size, which is a 12 oz cup, much smaller than I thought as it’s the same price as the cold large (which is bigger). The flavor was just so off. It tasted like almond powder mixed with milk and barely any tea flavor. The boba tasted a bit hard in the center.
I've never been to a boba place that charges extra for no ice. The honey lemon tea wasn't great either. Tasted too artificially sweet with only a hint of lemon.
