Monte D'acorda - Reguengos De Monsaraz

A lovely , local restaurant serving very good honest Portuguese food. We booked ahead for a Sunday evening and were glad as it was full and it is really the only full restaurant in Campinho. We had the fish soup to start which was super the fish was so fresh and tasty. We had the lamb and pork Alentejano style, both were very tasty but didn’t come with any vegetables salad. For desserts we had a honey and almond cake and a lime mousse. We had a fantastic 1 2 bottle of local white wine and a bottle of red which was also very good. They didn’t speak any English but we managed fine with our little bit of Portuguese and some humour. Very reasonable prices and a lovely evening in the company of locals at a great restaurant. Wow, OMG this soup was heaven. What an amazing tradicional food. Everything we tried was spot on. Good friendly staff and unbelievably delicious meals with such a good price. I hope to go again

Good value for money. However the attendance has to improve. But I recommend to families, accept reservations.

We went to Restaurant Monte D’Acorda because it was in the small village we were staying in. We were very pleased with our choice. There seemed to be many locals there and the atmosphere was great. We had a language difficulty but locals helped us. We thoroughly enjoyed our black pork and green wine.

We were visiting in Campinho and went to the restaurant for supper on Saturday night. I had never had black pork before and this was absolutely fantastic. The entire meal consisted of olives, bread, seafood salad, simple green salad, potatoes and pork and of course cerveja. The best meal we had while we were in Portugal. Please go if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.
