Grotto Pizza - REHOBOTH BEACH

I haven't been here in many years. My family from Georgia wanted to try the pot stickers. The bruschetta could use a bit more garlic. The pizza was enjoyable, and our server was very friendly.

We were very disappointed during our visit on August 23, 2022. I remembered having great pizza from Grotto years ago, but the pizza and service at this place were terrible. The hostess was friendly, but our waiter was hard to communicate with, and I didn't even catch his name. We saw a special advertised on a sign and expressed our interest, but he waited until the end when the bill arrived to inform us that it was no longer available. He claimed it wasn't on the menu I received. I understand we made a mistake, but the waiter should have mentioned this when we placed our order. Additionally, my drink was empty for most of our meal, and he seemed oblivious to our needs, only asking if we needed anything after we'd finished our plates. The pizza itself was far from fresh and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my honest experience.

We sat at the bar which was quite narrow but it's nice to sit and grab a drink. Also pizza! It's my first time trying Grotto Pizza and I was surprised to find the pizza not being greasy or oily. We ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms and it was great. Not the greatest pizza in the world but I wouldn't mind grabbing it again. You might have a ocean breeze coming in too.

Great pizza and antipasto! We went on a March Saturday afternoon. Great seats, right on the boardwalk. We had a mushroom, ham and onion pizza and Grotto's signature antipasto. Both were fresh and delicious. Convenient location, just steps away from the sand. Definitely lives up to the hype!
