This place until last year was a pizzeria, with take out during the week and in restaurant seating for pizzas on Saturday, so we booked for Saturday. There is a confusing menu on line part of it gives a menu with only pizza, part gives a menu with no pizza. We assumed it would have pizza. We arrived no pizza. No children 's menu. In addition, we had no realised the paucity of the menu. Salads, 'tartines ' as a main course (who wants a tartine for their main meal? , and three types of 'brochettes 2 chicken and one duck. That was it! The plat de jour was ravioli. Reluctantly , we phoned another restuarant, got a reservation there, and left. The owner was furious with us, shouting at us as we left. Outside, on the sign, it says 'Pizzeria au feu du bois '. The word 'Pizzaria ' was coloured darker. She said it showed it was 'barred '. But it just looked as though the word was emphasised. This restaurant, until last year, was known locally for its wonderful pizzas. If the new owners want to make sure people know, 1. they should take down the sign, 2 they should make sure their website doesn 't have two menus. 3 They should insert a note that explains that their new resto does not sell pizza any more. In any case, the menu was so poor and the owner was so rude, we won 't be going back and we will discourage others to go there.
This restaurant changed ownership post lockdown so earlier reviews cannot be attributed to this restaurant. We want several times in 2020 and enjoyed fantastic oven-baked pizza with our family (4 children, grandparents, uncle and aunt . They offered excellent chicken nuggets for the non-pizza-eating child. In 2023, we were here on holiday again and my nearly 80-year-old mother made an online reservation for Saturday night as the sign outside still says it is a pizzeria with a wood oven. We were welcomed in a friendly manner but quickly saw thst the menu is extremely limited and there is NO PIZZA. They do a few bruscettas und kebabs, like a snack stall. There are no simple children 's options, just smaller versions of bruscettas. After searching the menu and asking the waitress, we realised there was nothing that our children would eat there. (We adults were not impressed but would have made do with a bruscetta to avoid hassle. I explained the situation to the waitress (owner? , and apologised profusely thst we were forced to leave. Her response was to say, if the children wanted pizza, bon courage! , then proceeded to shout a tirade of insults at us, saying that it was outrageous that we should leave. This place can hardly call itself a restaurant and it clearly misleads the public by leaving the huge pizzeria sign up outside.
This is a simple unpretentious joint with an indoor section, a terrace and a garden offering drinks and pizzas. The service is fast and friendly.
