A&w Canada - Renfrew

I love the food here. Was ecstatic when an A&W opened in town, it made me sick once but that didn 't stop me from coming back. The only issue I have with this location is the fact that they are never consistent with their hours. Three times in the past 2 months I 've gone around 8-8:30 and nobody is there, lights are off. Their sign and hours online say their open till 10. Last week it was due to renovations apparently, figured I 'd try again tonight after work and unsurprisingly they 're closed at 8:15, two people are sitting inside starring at me walk up to the door which is locked and a sign saying due to unforeseen circumstances we are currently closed, sorry for the inconvenience . Not sure if their employees are calling in constantly or short staffed but maybe fire/hire new staff, otherwise your business is gonna continue to suffer. On a second note, I 've stood at the counter multiple times for 15+ minutes with no service while people are in the back cleaning not paying any attention to the front counter, what 's more frustrating and rude in my opinion is the cook told the other employee there is somebody waiting and they continued to finish their cleaning instead of stopping and serving me as I waited another 5 minutes. As a food service employee myself I could never be this negligent towards a customer. Lastly, when I do eventually get served it 's usually with no friendly conversation or even a you 're welcome depending on who you get. I understand working in food service can be a depressing job but it 's not fair to make your customers feel unwanted or like a burden. It 's not hard to say hello what can I get for you today or you 're welcome. I have never written a review on anything or anybody but I 'm continuously frustrated with this place lately and hope that the owners or management will see this and finally do something about it.

April 3 2019 at 8:15 am Decided to try there advertised beyond meat sausage and egg on a English muffin. You know the one they say looks like sausage taste like sausage etc False advertising comes to mind, it doesn't look like sausage and it doesn't taste like sausage! Well ok to be fair, it tastes like the sausage patties you can buy from Wal-Mart to make your own sausage eggers but got busy doing something else and let them get over cooked (dry as a bone) and burnt, then maybe just maybe you could say it taste like sausage! I have ate these things for decades from the companies that have promoted them for years and have made my own. Love A&W but this product is a flop... P.S come on guys get better coffee...

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and there wasn't one clean table to sit at. Very disappointed. We had to wipe one down ourselves. The food was good, however the lack of cleanliness made us anxious to get out. Whether it was a lack of staff, or just laziness, we couldn't tell, but we won't be returning.

Used to love going to this place but the last couple of times have been hugely disappointed. The meat size seems to be getting smaller. The fries and onion rings are cold and soggy. When we go to put our dirty dishes on the counter it is so piled up that there is no place to put them. Makes me wonder how clean are the dishes/glasses they serve us with.

Decided to give this location a second chance tried to go once but there was a paper taped to the drive through speaking saying they were out of fries till later in the week! Went at lunch time and the line was short still took much longer than any other fast food drive threw I've been too. Finally got my food and the fries were super soggy not sure how long they had been out and they got my order wrong too. Won't be going back here.
