Cafe des Bricoles - Rennes

While living in Rennes for several months, Les Bricoles, became our favorite bistrot. Located in a neighborhood on Quai de la Prevalaye near Place de Bretagne, we enjoyed many dinners here! The menu changes daily but sometimes just a drink and snack was what we needed. The food is good, some typical Breton dishes, and more. It is off the beaten track so we seemed to be the only foreigners frequenting this cozy place. We needed a little help understanding everything on the menu but they provided that and when we booked a table in advance (popular place), they had a translation ready for us! Friendly staff and good food why go anywhere else? So, we kept coming back. Highly recommended!

Well decorated the place is cosy, trendy and warmy. The service is welcomy and the menu is tasty. All in the place put you in a comfortable atmosphere. At the end the place is very friendly very cosmopolite even if it is a well hipster place (why not? . Very agréable evening with friends. Not to miss.

I met my niece in Rennes, and she was super excited to bring me to the new cool spot in her city. Used to old school brasserie and cafe I was a little doubtful. We got to les Bricoles knick Knacks and realized we should have made a reservation. The little wait was a perfect excuse to have one of their handcrafted cocktail at the bar which was excellent, we got sat rapidly despite the place being busy and enjoyed great service and very good food, especially considering how affordable the prices are. The atmosphere is confortable and yes a little loud, but did not prevent us from catching up. Despite being full we got tempted by the tarte au citron which was amazing and finished our dinner catch up with a last after drink dinner recommended by our server. Over all an amazing find in Rennes , well worth the trip.

We have been in love for dinner, the terrace is very pleasant, the products are fresh and very well cooked despite a slightly overcooked meat. The service is really great. We'll go back with great pleasure.

Very good both in the reception and in the plate. favor the small outdoor courtyard for its charm and especially its tranquility. The inside is very noisy and very lively!
