I absolutely loved the food at this restaurant. My only concern is the price, as it is higher than what I would normally expect to pay for a sandwich. However, the flavors were undeniably delicious.
I waited 20 minutes for my sandwich to be made, and when I asked how much longer, they seemed confused and had forgotten to make it. I had to wait another 10 minutes to receive it. Waiting 30 minutes for a sandwich left me no time to eat on my lunch break. I was very disappointed with this Capriotti's location. I have been going to the Sierra Street location for years and have never experienced service like this. Additionally, my sandwich was much smaller than a medium usually is. They made no attempt to make it right or even apologize for the inconvenience. I will not be returning to this location in the future.
Let me bein with, I eat ate Capriotti's on Plumb often and the food is always good. My salad today from the Kietzke location was disgusting. The chicken was dry and a very odd color. (see the picture the chicken is circled) there were small slivers ofchicken sprinkled over the salad. The lettuce that wasn't brown, nasty, or laced with red spots was white, thick pieces. I amvery disappointed in my lunch today.
I 'm hoping to write a GOOD review soon, but this isn 't it. I seem to have very little luck with delivery food. Prior to this, only two of my three salads showed up with a delivery order from Capriotti 's on Plumb Lane, so this time I switched to theirKietzke location. Ordered from their website and added special instructions to each one of three sandwiches for them to TOASTTHE BREAD VERY WELL...MAYBE DOUBLE TOASTED? Tried calling them several times after I placed the order to make sure they 'd seemy notes, but they weren 't answering their phone. All the food I ordered arrived this time. Yay! The salads were good. Thetwo small 5 sandwiches had the right ingredients, but NONE of the bread had been toasted on any of the sandwiches. Someonetold me they automatically toast bread on chicken sandwiches, but these weren 't chicken. The third sandwich, the big 18 ,expensive $22 , and usually delicious cheesesteak sandwich was a disaster. Far from delicious like ones I 'd had at Plumb Lane, this one had plenty of meat and some grilled onions and red peppers, but there were no mushrooms, and I could find almost nocheese at all. Without cheese, the sandwich was horribly dry. On top of that, at each end of the sandwich, there was 2 ofnothing but white untoasted bread with no filling at all! At least the ends had a little bit of that cheese I 'd been trying tofind! PHOTO OF 18 SANDWICH CENTER SECTION: Middle of 18 cheesesteak sandwich: plenty of meat, some onions/red peppers;mushrooms are missing, as is cheese. Brown color on the bread is not toasting, but just grease from the grilled onions. PHOTOOF 18 SANDWICH END: 4.5 of nothing but white bread and a tiny bit of filling on both ends of the 18 cheesesteaksandwich...but I found the cheese!
