I have eaten different restaurant of there brand Shrimp Scampi and I always say Pearl's is better. I guess because they serve Scampi with there tangy rice and everyone have in noodles. 2 dozen oysters. I don't share my dozen oysters. At one sitting I ate 2 plates of Scampi and 2 dz Oysters. Love love. Happy and Content. I already booked my room to come your way in couple of weeks. Going to meet Pearls my best friend that I can't live without. Service is always great and they would be shocked on how many things we order and finish everything. 2 adults and 2 kids. Now my kids starting love this place. Cioppino- we always shared this but it could sometime very salty. Hit and Miss on this dish. Delicious but salty. Will coming in a few weeks Jambalaya, and there Roast Pan items not sure which will try. Update after I try it. A great place for fresh seafood and will recommend anyone to give it a try. Or just hang for beer and Oyster.
So I ordered A oyster shooter claim chowder and the crab cakes. Oyster shooter sucked way to thick. Claim chowder Had no claims not one. The best part was crab Cakes and needed to ask for more tartar sauce. Not because they are fishy just because they don't give enough the side salad served with crab cakes sucks. See photo half of it was wilted or bad. I just paid 18 for crab cakes and the salad is old?!? Really !! The waiter Was slow as well. For the expense eat else where!
After a networking event at Whitney Peak, my wife and I decided on checking out Pearl Oyster Bar Grill located in the Silver Legacy (a great spot on the bridge between the Silver Legacy and Eldorado, perfect for dining and people watching...always a treat at casinos! . Being a member of the Prospector's, we hadn't spent our quarterly $90 yet and it's already mid-December. It was a Tuesday night around 7:45 and the place was empty (an off night, I imagine . So, no wait with prompt, friendly and attentive service. Being fans of clam chowder and missing the awesome bowl served by the now closed Sterlings, we opted for a cup each. It came out quickly and were surprised by the large cup, a meal in itself. Hot, creamy, stocked with clams and potatoes, it just need a dash of pepper. Satisfying! Next up, I ordered a half dozen oysters. Not sure what other yelpers received, but the oysters were large, fresh and hit the spot with the supplied horseradish and cocktail sauce (see photo . A decent deal considering the portion at $14. For our mains, my wife ordered the shrimp scampi and I the cioppino. Though I didn't taste it, my wife said the shrimp on the bed of yellow rice as tender and well flavored. The cioppino was served hot and chock full of seafood. The tomato broth was tangy and perfect for dipping the accompanying bread. The bill for the meal including a glass of wine and a martini was just over $90, a lot of delicious food for the money. We're fans and will be back on another night out. The only odd thing was that we were the last ones served, as they closed right after we were seated, at only 8pm, in a casino??? I guess not being a busy night, why keep the place open (to the chagrin of other diners who were turned away . A, the restaurant business!
What a amazing hidden gym in Reno, Nevada! We were walking in the maze of casinos and came across the pearl Oyster bar and Grill. I have a never had chicken tenders that tasted like southern fried chicken on the bone. We couldn't believe the amazing taste of these chicken tenders. They do not serve your high school cafeteria, Applebee's, lackluster chicken strips. They are serving up delicious premium food! Very similar to Las Vegas it's like they couldn't make anything bad. The oysters were fresh and had a great taste to them. Honestly the service was 5 1/2 stars! We're definitely coming back to the littlest big city in the future and will be stopping by the oyster bar!
Okay...so the first time may of been a fluke. I went here a couple days ago and decided to give it another try and risk a stomach ache, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out their food is actually really good and they either have a different chef on different days or the first time I went, they were just having an off day. I decided to sit at the bar this time around and decided to try the risotto one more time. The bartender serving me was great. He was very friendly and I enjoyed making conversation with him. Keep up the great work at making patrons feel welcomed! This time my shrimp and scallop risotto came out in 15 minutes and was accompanied with complimentary bread, which alone, the bread is to die for. Wowsa..it was good! Risotto was aldente, cheesy and not saucy at all. Scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly. I was impressed and ate the entire plate clean! The only reason I gave them 3 stars is that I don't like having that hit or miss feeling when choosing to eat at a restaurant. I will be back to see if the rest of the menu is just as good and seriously I could eat their breadsticks all day!
