This particular Hungry Jacks location is quite impressive. The food is consistent with that of other stores, and they make an effort to make their menu items look as appetizing as they do in their advertisements. The staff is friendly and welcoming, a pleasant departure from the usual serious demeanor found at fast food establishments. Overall, a great dining experience!
This guy is the big guy on the block as far as foot traffic goes! Lets just say they won't need to be installing a drive thru anytime soon! This is catering to so many different crowds like uni and commuters. Like the Bourke Street store this store is a two level experience with the ordering going down on the bottom floor and the eating (if you're doing it right ; on the top floor.<br/ <br/ I usually order whoppers, but at this particular Hungry Jacks I am always more inclined to try different meals such as promotional meals and and value meals. I have orderd some premium chicken burgers at different price points, sometimes a fancy angus. A stunner deal can't be beat for vaule but a sundaye is rarely to my taste.
The burger meal is amazing and huge! It's always a great spot to grab a bite after a night out. My only complaint is that I wish it was a bit cleaner at night.
Cheap frozen Coke. I never eat at fast food restos, but I couldn't pass by the $1 frozen Coke promo deal one night when I only had pocket change to buy a drink with to accompany my takeaway food. When I consider four decades' worth of monetary inflation and the relative value of the Aussie dollar to the U.S. greenback, this probably costs less than the cola Slurpees I used to get from 7 Elevens in America in the 1960s. Plus I have a sentimental fondness for this particular Jack's. On my dad's only visit to Melbourne in 2007, when his health was starting to slip, he had a sudden, uhhhhh, need for the loo when we were shopping for opals on Flinders Lane not far from here. This Jack's provided what my dad needed to avoid a stinky situation thanks.
