Of course this place can be reached from other hiking trails in the environment for the more serious hikers, but for us this was just enough.
From the lake 40min. on the alm was cake, coffee, broth time very good. What for our little most important was above the alm is a sandbox with shovels and co swings.
The main house of the beautifully situated alm is currently closed, however, in a next building on the sunny terrace and in the small stubborn drinks and simple dishes (e.g., Wiener spices with brot) are offered. the alm surface can be in approx. 45min from the parking lot on the alat lake, however, it is more beautiful to integrate the alm visit into a half-day tour from the white lake: the so-called circular course leads from the white lake up to the burgruine falkenstein, then following the course of the ridge to the cozy saloberalm and finally over the mystical alat lake back to the white lake. this tour classic is ideal for beautiful early or autumn days, if there is snow on the high peaks; However, due to the low hm and the shady way can be handled well even on hot summer days. from the falkenstein and later from the zirmgratweg you can enjoy wide views into the lake-rich prealpenland, the allgäuer mountains and even the Zugspitze.
One to two times in the year goes on the saloberalm, this rustic hut right behind the German border is always a rewarding fast reaching goal. there are several ways to get up. the shortest, but the steepest is from the lake, the most beautiful is from the falkenstein over the cinnamon, and the most quiet is the ascent from the Austrian vils, before the ruined vilser corner. The eating is pleasant, the atmosphere easy and the round view of the tannheimer mountains beautiful. when we were on the feet slide and silvester party, it traditionally goes on the New Year's Day on the alm, that is always an experience.
Short closed a 3 hour walk from rossmoos over the 4 seen view to salober alm and back over alatsee and white lake made. the salober alm is idyllic and has a good selection of food and drinks, the waiting times are short.
