I have to say, the sauce on the rib tips is a warning sign. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place; save your money and head to the Smokehouse on Old National instead! I also noticed that the staff weren’t wearing gloves when handling orders and food, including the bread. I'm just sharing my observations here. The service was disappointing. As for the rib tips, they were tough, chewy, and way too saucy. Overall, not a great experience.

I’ve live in this area 8 years! And Tookes is a never miss ! My fave is the pulled pork sandwich! I’m funny about baked beans but these never miss!!! And mister in the back is fine ? sooo good food, great southern hospitality and manners… and eyecandy! I’ll take it !!

OMG!!! Y'all, please don't let the outside fool you! My daughter and I stopped by to get dinner, trying something new. The service was pleasant. The cook/owner was there alone, but he handled it. Y'all, this food was delicious! Not only was it great, but it was more than enough for the price! I'm a country girl, and I love me some good BBQ, and this was it! Y'all really gotta go in and get a plate. I had the chicken, potato salad, and baked beans. There was enough for 2 days on my plate. And yes, it was still good the second day. Just try it! The food is delicious and the prices are great! Thank you, Tookes!!!
