The U-pick entry fee is $5, and it’s $8.50 per quart (with a minimum of one quart), which is definitely worth it because the berries are incredibly delicious. The shop is a lot of fun, featuring a wide variety of fresh produce, baked goods, cider, and assorted trinkets. Plus, the homemade ice cream is absolutely delightful!
My family and I have been apple picking at Bowman’s for over three years now. The promotion they're running — no admission fee for U-Pick from 9 to 11 AM on weekdays — is what convinced my husband, our kids, my sister, brother-in-law, and niece to join us out in the fields on a sweltering 90° day! The apples are always worth it, and the cider slush was a refreshing treat to cool us off afterward.
This is a fantastic destination for apple and berry picking throughout various seasons. It's perfect for children, featuring a lovely playground and a petting zoo, along with plenty of space to run and play. To top it all off, the staff are incredibly friendly!
I would really like to see this restaurant's financial statements. They assert that their steep price increases are a response to the current economic climate, but I suspect the wealthy owners are simply being greedy. It's disheartening to witness what was once a family-friendly establishment transform into another profit-driven venture. While it’s true that businesses need to be profitable—no one disputes that—the extent of this price gouging is outrageous!
To add insult to injury, you now need to pay and wear a wristband just to let your kids play on the wooden playground. I was also told I couldn’t bring in my diaper bag and had to either take it back to my car or leave it with a stranger. It’s such a shame because this was a family tradition for us, but we won’t be returning. Paying $65 to pick apples is simply ridiculous. It feels very greedy.
