Lobster Hut (food Cart) - Reykjavik

The best sandwich i have ever had, recomended to visit! a litle bit expensive but so worth it, the lobster is rich in flavours and the lettus and saus makes the sub so fresh.

My first time in Reykjavik I stopped at this place and had the absolute best lobster sub ever. The woman that owned the place at that time made great subs. The last time I went to Reykjavik I stopped by there late in the evening and the sub was the worst ever. Very little lobster and crushed tortillas chip ?!? That was not part of the recipe the first time I went and lots of lettuce. Under new ownership maybe? I don’t know. I’m going again and will check to see if it’s new management and ask what’s in it before trying it again. I returned the last sub.It was that bad.

Paid close to 20$ for one sandwich full of lettuce and poor amount of lobster. Do not recommend at all. I expressed my disagreement with the manager and just gave a look and good bye. Big 0.

Save your money and eat somewhere else. After reading all of the wonderful reviews on-line and in Reykjavik travel guides upon arrival, my mom and I definitely wanted to find this food truck and eat a lobster roll. Unfortunately, both of us were thoroughly disappointed. A large costs about 25 US dollars; thank goodness my mom and I split one and we each did not order a sandwich. On my half were maybe three tiny pieces of langostino. Basically I ate a bun with a little lettuce and an abundance of a mayonnaise sauce. For anyone who has eaten a true lobster roll, this was an enormous disappointment.

Local vacation of the lobster sandwich, salad, fun, not like new england, or anywhere else, it was fun and interesting snack.
