Real fine eating in casual and funky environments. excellent service, inventive fixed price menu with Icelandic ingredients (protein, crimped, sweet) if they are a food, this is a place not to miss if available in reykjavik gf adaptive versions of the menu.

Very nice dining experience. Really interesting and well made dishes, which were complimented very well with the wine menu. On the downside the set time of two hours was far too short to really appreciate it all. My suggestion to Matur Drykkur would be to expand the time or reduce the number of servings. Otherwise well worth the visit.

Nice atmosphere inside the restaurant. It is a great spot for enjoying good wine and delicious food. Reservations are necessary. It is located somewhat outside of the city center but easy to walk to. The waitstaff is a bit too quick to clear the empty plates and bring new ones. It felt like they were on a timer. However, I am a slow eater so this is just my personal perception. They offer a tasting menu with wine pairings that I highly recommend if you are looking for an Icelandic culinary experience.

The restaurant offers a very beautiful setting and delightful staff! It is intimate and each server explains every dish before serving. They offer seasonal set menus, so be sure to make them aware of any intolerances/allergies!
