It was a fantastic choice! The food was the best we've had in years, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was stylish and comfortable. Absolutely fabulous!
The food as improved quite considerably I must say the food was fantastic . We visited with friends we haven't seen for a while The person that served us Chris was very welcoming explained all the changes that where planned with the building works and recommend dishes for us to try which where great . We felt very welcome and nothing was to much trouble . All's we can say is thank you .
I went with some friends for a get-together and what a delightful location. We sat outside surrounded by flowers. We ordered some sharing platters and they were delicious, well-priced, and we were very satisfied when we left. We will definitely be coming back regularly. We chatted with the new owners and they have some exciting plans for this establishment.
After visiting Be a Garden Maker multiple times, we were curious to see how the venue would fare under new management. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were met with a strong smell of rancid chip fat and found ourselves sticking to the sticky table. Cobwebs adorned the sides of the table, making it difficult to peruse the menu. Despite a friendly server taking our order for a latte, flat white, white Americano coffee, and scones with butter, jam, and pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, the drinks were not up to par. The coffees were served in large cups with minimal coffee at the bottom and were splattered all over, resembling a messy toilet. When we requested more milk, the cup was still only half full. The total bill for our order came to £30.25, and while the scones were served warm with jam, butter, and cream (which was not requested), they were stodgy and undercooked, and the cream had a sour taste. The pancakes also had uncooked batter in the center. While we understand that new owners may need time to adjust, there is much room for improvement for this venue. At this time, we do not plan on returning, but we hope that our feedback will help the owners enhance what could be a great establishment.
Didn't visit the garden plant side of this premise but the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Superb! Other items available on the menu too along with a specials board. Staff very friendly indeed, service quick and food varied and piping hot. Excellent value for money and beautiful countryside to drive through to get there. Considerate of covid safety
