Buck Country Pub - Ribble Valley

My husband and I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch after a recommendation, and we are so glad we did. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us to our table. The menu offered a great variety of options in addition to the Sunday lunch. I ordered soup and my husband had the pate, both of which were delicious. We both enjoyed the roast beef dinner, which was generously portioned. The two-course meal was only £15.95, and we ended our meal with a sundae dessert. The service was excellent, and we will definitely return when we are in the area again. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

After traveling from Portishead, a few hours down the road, we finally arrived at the restaurant for what we thought would be a nice Sunday dinner. However, we were disappointed to find that there was no room available for us as we had not booked in advance. Despite empty tables outside and on the veranda, we were told we could only order drinks. The rudeness of the waitress was shocking, so we decided to leave and had a wonderful meal at The Plough in Wigglesworth just 3 miles away. The Plough gained our business and the restaurant's loss. Well done, The Plough!

We had a wonderful experience at this charming country pub. We visited on a sunny August Bank Holiday afternoon with my wife, daughter, her baby, and our black labrador. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the Beef Baguette, while the others had the Chicken and Bacon Baguette, all of which were delicious and reasonably priced. The beer was well-maintained, and I tried a pint of mild. The staff even gave treats to our dog. We enjoyed our visit so much that my wife and I returned a few days later to sit outside with the chickens while enjoying a drink.

We googled what was near us as the pub at the caravan park we was staying only served food on certain days , and we was so glad now as we found this place , staff are lovely and welcoming and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. the place was very busy and food arrived piping hot in adequate time for how busy it was. we all ordered the fish and chips , which was very tasty home made chips :D was well worth the drive would happily return even if I had to drive the 2 hours from home.

We travel past here several times a year and have found this place to be the friendliest ever. We always have lunch on our way north and all food has been delightful at very reasonable prices. In fact we have often praised the owner for both the food and the welcome. The fires also give this place the cheeriest of settings n the midwinter when you appreciate a warm.
