The Venue - Ribble Valley

I recently dined at The Avenue for Sunday lunch and had the roast beef with all the trimmings. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal as the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were great. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.

The restaurant is a lovely spot for locals to have a drink. It won an award but we were not sure why. The staff at reception were not very friendly and did not seem to care if we enjoyed our visit. They seemed more interested in the local community. The duvet in our room was stained and there was no duvet cover for my child. There were no spoons for the tea tray and no mini bar in the room. When we booked the suite, we were told the tea tray was considered the mini bar! The walls had marks on them, the bathroom had dusty flowers, and the little details were overlooked. On the plus side, the food was delicious and there was a nice outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, we were not informed about check-out times or offered breakfast. When we asked for information about the local area, the staff were not very helpful. They were also reluctant to provide us with a glass of ice for the room. Overall, we had already eaten and had drinks but were disappointed with the lack of amenities in the suite.

I called to order our pizzas and we were given a time slot. The pizza arrived 15 minutes after the agreed time, even though we live only half a mile away. The boxes were still nice and hot, but upon opening them, we could see that the pizzas were not up to their usual standard. In fact, if we hadn't waited so long for them, we would have thrown them away. The pizzas looked like they had been sitting on top of the oven for a long time to stay warm. The mushrooms were shriveled up and the cheese had turned into a solid mess. Additionally, there were only five pieces of pepperoni on a 12-inch "pepperoni" pizza. After about 5 minutes, the crust became so hard that I was worried about losing a filling. I left a comment on their Facebook page, but have not received a response yet (3 days later). The only positive aspect was that it was a 2-for-1 deal. I hope that once the virus situation is over, they will return to their usual top quality and taste.

Came here with my house, just a few mins wal away. Would say it is more of a bar place then a restaurant but the atmosphere was amazing and could see myself coming here more often. Ordered a steak and would have to say one of the best I've ever had. Would definently recommend

Stayed 2 nights. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was spotless and perfect size. The breakfast was outstanding, cooked to order so was piping hot and plenty of it with unlimited hot drinks. Would highly recommend and would visit again.
