Pizzeria Il Melograno - RIBERA

There is a large choice of toppings and a choice of base which would be the familiar circular shape (for 1 person) or the 'tabisce ' (for 2 or more) which is longer and oval in shape. We ordered three different 'Tabisce ' sized pizza 's for takeaway at the pizzeria. They were ready in 15 minutes and the lady at the counter thoughtfully provided a plastic sheet to put under the pizza 's in our car in case of any spills on the way home. The pizza 's were great tasting and cooked to perfection, we chose funghi, cappriciossa and 'Angelo '. They were all tasty but my favorite was the Angelo. The pizza 's cost 43Euro in total, very reasonable to feed 6 people and we had lots left. I would highly recommend this pizzeria if you are in the area.

Have eaten pizza everywhere around the world and have to say that this place has to be the best and more importantly most consistent as far as quality of pizzas go. The staff are very welcoming and the owner speaks good English and is very friendly as he gave me various tips on where to go and not to go in Sicily. I ended up going 3 times during my week's stay. We had a trip in this little town and we stopped in a family run business pizzeria. The pizzas are outstanding as well as the service. The owner shown us how to make pizza and speaks a good English! Very interesting! They had highchair, very important for us as we have a little toddler We d love to come back again to this place Alex Tony

Not very easy to find and limited opening hours, but well worth a visit. The chef speaks excellent English and is very helpful in making suggestions for a pizza. The pizzas are huge and delicious and service is friendly and speedy. My only gripe would be that I don't particularly like having a meal with a television blaring in the room.

My wife and I went to Melograno last evening for a pizza. The bear like chef who spoke a little English was really helpful and charming. My wife had a vegetarian pizza but I had a hot pepperoni, ham, passata, cheese and garlic paste pizza which they served heart shaped! A lovely touch! We had previously had a pizza in Napoli at the pizzeria where Bill Clinton had allegedly dropped in for a slice of pizza but the pizza I had at Melograno was without doubt the best pizza I've ever eaten. Melograno Ribera 1 Napoli 0 I think. Simply the best pizza you'll ever eat folk's! Thank you Melograno.
