Sterling's Famous Steak Seafood Salad On The River

Lovely place for a family group of 15 on new years day. Wide variety of food, great crepes, friendly staff. Seated pretty quickly for such a big group, bustling but they had it handled.

Great selection of breakfast items. Everything from eggs, omelets, waffles, pancakes and a lot more. They also have a great sandwiches, steak, hot beef sandwiches, a large salad bar and so much more. This location is right by the Columbia River and the outdoor patio has nice views.

I had the salad bar all you can eat. So I can't really rate the food but my date really enjoyed her sandwich, the salad bar was fantastic. Dave was our bartender, and he is very knowledgeable and absolutely fabulous.

Since moving into their new building at the same location, they also seem to have improved the food considerably. I agree with the reviews that call them hit or miss . Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can have a really great meal one time and the next time not so much. They were slow to adapt to COVID, but seem to be emerging well enough as things have started normalizing in mid-2021. Their breakfasts are the most consistently good offerings and their dinners the least so. Pros: decent food at reasonable prices; great river views from most window seats and patio; much nicer feel than previous digs; good hearty breakfasts; never much wait ever. Cons: Service is hit or miss; dinners can be an adventure in inconsistency, stay mainstream on the menu and you should be fine.

The food is outstanding; I always come here for breakfast. The service is fantastic—it's a bit noisy, but overall, it's excellent.
