Rock Bottom Brewery - Richm

I ordered the Tiger Cry bowl and the bowls are supposed to come with either cauliflower rice or ancient grains as the base. After I received my bowl and had to wait for the server to make her rounds, I was able to mention that my bowl was missing the base. Long story short they ran out of both options so they were just serving the bowls without it. I wish the servers would have been made aware of that so I wouldn’t have wasted my time ordering it. The flavor was still good but it just seemed like a lack of communication between the staff, so maybe I’ll go back one day, but there is definitely no rush to do so.

We enjoyed this place. Beers were good. Service was not good. We were not acknowledged by any of the bar staff for 10 minutes despite them being minimally busy. I would not make this my first choice in the future.

Spending the night in shortpump for Mother’s Day and 2 birthday celebrations. Sat ourselves at the bar… we were not greeted for roughly 10-15 minutes. They did not seem busy from what we observed… but dang it looked like chaos… took forever to get waters, beer. The margarita was nasty. The nachos has like zero beef on them. Had a couple of good interactions with 2 service members… or I would have rated it a 1. Will not recommend or ever go back for sure.

Everything was pretty good. The deviled eggs tasted a bit bland. They needed more mustard in the recipe. The steak was also prepared perfectly but it too had mild flavors. I ALMOST wanted to ask for A1 but I can never bring myself to do that to a steak outside Denny’s. Other meals at the table were suitable and the dessert was delicious. I didn’t drink but others from our party did, to their delight.Bottom line:Nice place to try. Think of it as a higher end casual dining but low brow enough to wear jeans and a t-shirt.

So first walking in I loved the environment, got seated pretty quickly with attentive staff. Sat down got our drinks. My main gripes here are1. The sweet tea my sister got was horrible, it tasted like water with a tiny bit of unsweet tea in it.2. Stepmom got a rock bottom hard Seltzer that wasn't strong at all, not bad but definitely could be improved.3. I got the fried chicken main, and it was less fried than I would've preferred, compared to the fried chicken sandwich which was crispy to the touch.4. The green beans that came with my platter were very very bland, 0 seasoning and just not very good. Needed immense seasoning at the table.However the rest of the meal was superb, fried chicken tasted good, mashed potatoes were absolutely amazing, and the rest was really good.Revision: there was also a small big in my dad's salad
