Not only was it VERY expensive but the value was poor, which is a very important factor for me.Sure, the portion was large but it was so bland it was hard to eat. I wanted similar to dan dan noodles like I do at other Deer Gardens. But this was just noodles in some (sweet) peanut soup. No other flavour. Chilli was extremely minimal, and unfortunately either the company has removed the option for minced pork/beef or this location lacks it. Anyway, it was a pretty bad bowl of... noodles. If you can find them. And they were all falling apart anyway. No one else in my group really liked their choices either. However, the fish skin was really good.
A fantastic place to go to for a great portion of food at a decent price! Their bubble tea is also fantastic, for a cheap price too if you get it as a combo with the noodles. I've been back here quite a few times, and I highly recommend it : (They only take cash and debit
Great service and fast!I always come to this place or the one on Fraser St. (mainly here since there is parking). The quality of food is as consistent as it could be.The restaurant was busy (came today/weekday around 7pm), but we were seated within 5 minutes or so. They cleaned up as soon as the previous customers left so they were good on timing and attentive.Restaurant was clean, AC is cranked up but I guess it's good since most people come here for noodles usually.I ordered for extra coriander, green onion, beancurd sticks, and mushrooms and they gave a lot which is exactly what I hoped for. Fraser St. Deer Garden usually doesn't do that so this place I prefer more. The downside was that the soup this time (I ordered the fish soup) was quite bland, I assume it's just a one-time thing and not that they've pulled back on the flavour. I had to ask for salt since it was less savoury than usual. All in all, still a solid spot to come back to all the time. I do wish they opened their restaurant a little later (until 9:30pm) or something, that would've provided some more flexible timing especially for those who get off work a little later than 5pm.
Whatever you choose, DO NOT CHOOSE THE SIDE DISHES!! Major ripoff! The $4.50 Pan Seared Ox Tongue side dish is literally ROFL (we really did laugh so hard upon seeing it ??? . Very thin, texture like luncheon meat 午餐肉, no meat taste (excessively tenderized with bakng soda , and three tiny pieces cost $1.50 each. The $4 Deep Fried Fish Fillet side dish is delicious but only has one small piece. Best eaten without mayonaise. As for the noodles, lots of different toppings, many types of noodles, and many broths to choose from. Big bowl, lots of noodles, lots of vegetables but very little amount of toppings. The broths are pretty tasty, though. $16.25 for a bowl that comes with two toppings of your choice and one drink, either hot milk tea 奶茶 or hot coffee.Expect long lineups.
One of the best fish noodles soup in Greater Vancouver Region. Overall is good. However, location is not very convinence. Parking is challenging at the peak time.
