Globe@yvr - Richmond

I had a lovely dinner before my flight. Both the food and service were excellent, and there was an incredible classical guitarist performing in the lounge next door. Dining there proved to be an even better decision once I saw the meal options on my flight to London.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Globe/YVR before our flight. Our server, Jade, was exceptional—very attentive and aware of our needs. The menu had an excellent variety for an airport restaurant, along with a lovely wine list. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. If we find ourselves at YVR waiting for another long-haul flight, we will certainly choose Globe again over the packaged food offered by the airlines.

I had a letdown during my visit to the restaurant. I found a piece of crab shell in the bisque, and the chocolate cake had a rubbery texture. The service was decent, and while the location is convenient, I can't recommend this restaurant.

The experience was just average—not bad, but nothing exceptional either. It felt a bit pricey, but I suppose that's to be expected since it's located in an airport!

The Lounge is a great option for good value. They have an affordable kids' menu. Unfortunately, the halibut was overcooked and dry, which was disappointing considering the cost.
