There is a table for you to eat inside the bakery. This time I tried the 雞屎滕果, 鬆糕 (not what I 'm hoping), and 咸煎餅.Definitely a place to satisfy your craving for Hometown Taste 家鄉的味道.
Rice rolls are average, not the best and the soy sauce they include is awful. More unacceptable is the wait time, up to 40 mins for steam rice rolls, as if their kitchen has zero sense of time management. Lastly, outright intolerable, is the tall non glasses mid aged cashier who acts like a witch. If you are lucky, you will see the petite cashier with glasses who is very nice but only there part time. Bake goods are very good and if just buying the prepared items, the purchase is usually uneventful. For Rice Rolls, I would definately not go again. Nope , nope , nope!
Beef and shrimp rice rolls taste good. I like their porridge as well.
As soon as I walked in, it felt familiar. The lady working was kind and greeted me and my daughters, and though my Chinese is not great she was very nice in helping me my selection. Had an array of baked goods and dim sum, and all were delicious. The sesame ball was my favorite maybe, the best I've had! Reasonable prices for homemade goodies. My only regret is not getting more to bring home. I will definitely be back!
The rice rolls are good but not as tasty as ones I've had in NYC Chinatown. Also I called ahead and placed an order and they said 20 min. I arrived 20 min later and they didn't even make the food yet...be prepared to wait like 40 min or more bc they're so slow. Good but in my opinion not worth the wait given so many other places to grab dimsum in Vancouver.
