Although I visited early in the morning and found limited cake options, I tried their Deep Fried Curry Beef, BBQ Pork, Pineapple Red Bean, Deep Fried Sausage, Shredded Pork, and Taro Buns. While the food wasn't the best I've had, it was still decent. Prices were a bit high for an Asian bakery, but with a 20% discount on many buns, they ended up being quite affordable. Overall, this bakery is worth a visit for those looking for Asian baked goods. The BBQ Pork Bun, Pineapple Red Bean Bun, and Shredded Pork Bun come recommended.
This bakery is fantastic and very popular among the locals. They offer a wide variety of buns, pastries, and cakes at a reasonable price. After a certain time in the day, all the pastries are discounted by 20%. However, I was disappointed when I went in at 8:30pm and found that the bakery had already cleared away all its pastries, even though they are supposed to close at 9:30. Despite this, I will definitely be returning for more in the future.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of baked goods or sweets. I try to avoid processed foods at home, so my perspective is that of someone new to this type of cuisine. I purchased 5 buns and a tart for only $9.25, which was a pleasant surprise. My partner enjoyed the Taro bun, which resembled a bear claw and was tasty. I devoured the Curried Beef Bun and found it to be a success. The Egg Tart was creamy and fresh with a flaky shell, which I appreciated. The Pineapple Bun had a sugary topping but lacked pineapple flavor, which confused me. The Pork Floss Bun and Pork Floss and Seaweed Bun didn't appeal to me when combined with a white bun. While there are many other types of baked goods available, I lean towards more exotic options. Everything was fresh and service was efficient, though not overly friendly. It's easy to see why this place is so popular, even if my review may not be entirely fair.
A pretty good bakery with lots of fresh buns. I think they're famous for their wintermelon pastries but they have a wide assortment of lotus paste and red bean paste pastries with salted egg yolk or without. I tried their ham and egg bun for breakfast and found it to be really fresh. I was surprised to find mayo in it which isn't the norm but it still tasted good. I bought some wintermelon pastries and lotus paste with thousand year old egg pastries for my hubby and he enjoyed them. I didn't taste those so can't comment. The service was pretty good and they are a well oiled machine and used to crowds. They get through the cashier lines pretty quick. They only accept cash so make sure you have some before heading over there.
The best pineapple buns!! Perfectly sweet, buttery crust on the softest fluffiest bread!!!! Their wife cakes and taro pastries are bomb too.
