Also, I ordered garlic pepper shrimp, it was unevenly salted, it was all at the bottom which was weird. The shrimp was also almost all air and no body to it. They use terrible quality shrimp.I used to like this place. I'm never coming back.
It's been about 20 years since I had been here last. I used to frequent this place when I used to work the graveyard shift for one of the hotel chains close by. I absolutely love their food. Always hot and fresh. Today I came here for their wonton soup with noodles and added guy Lan with it. The wontons are huge stuffed with beautifully flavoured shrimp. The noodles are excellent with perfect al dente chew. The broth so tasty and full of flavour. Everything about this was 100% on point. What made it even better was the Chilli oil. Omg it was heavenly. Try it!! Spicy delicious flavors. Their friendly staff were attentive and always pleasant. Kept our cups of tea filled all the time. Btw we came here at 130pm on a Saturday. Perfect time to come by. Not too busy at all and our food came quickly. Thank you No. 9. I'll be back soon.Parking: There's a huge parking lot out front but it does service the mall patrons, so be aware. It can be a challenge to find parking at times. And you may need to go for a little walk.
The restaurant only accepts cash for payment and requires a mandatory 15% tip, regardless of party size or number of guests. They do not provide good service, yet still expect the tip. Additionally, they charge for to-go containers when dining in, but not for take-out orders, which is confusing. The lack of attentive service does not justify the mandatory tip. The City of Richmond should not allow mandatory tipping and leave it to the discretion of the customer. The food is decent but not outstanding. There are better Chinese restaurants with better service and food quality. I would not highly recommend this restaurant, but the wait time is shorter compared to other options in the mall and surrounding areas.
This restaurant is open 24/7 and is conveniently located with a spacious parking area. The staff is friendly and welcoming, providing exceptional service without being asked. They consistently refilled our hot tea. The food is delicious with large portions. I highly recommend trying this place out.
Due to the impact of Covid-19, restaurants, including this one, are attempting to maximize their profits by charging exorbitant prices. The cost of the food is extremely high, with no dishes available for less than $25. It is difficult to get the server's attention in a timely manner. We ordered four plates at $145 each, along with three bowls of rice at $12 each, resulting in a total bill of $167. This amount seems unjustifiably high to us. We have no intention of returning to this restaurant, especially considering the mandatory minimum 15% tip. The question remains: what exactly are we paying for?
