Ramen Izakaya Okawari - Richmond

It's starting to get cold outside. If you're looking to warm up inside try their ramen. They're really good and reasonably priced.

Went for a quick dinner before a movie with friends. Place is nice, comfortable and not too crowded. They have several booths, which are ideal. Service was pretty quick and pleasant. Had the Chicken Mayo Meal, which comes with a small Ramen, as well as a few other things. Not too salty which is usually a problem with some Ramen. Quite tasty and a pretty decent value for the amount of food. Will be going again.

This place feels very homy, a nice place to have a quiet and relaxing meal. The service was better than I expected considering there's only one server. Too bad the food wasn't as good as I thought. The Miso Ramen Sapporo broth was pretty good, not salty like the other ramen shops. The firmness of the ramen, and the soft boiled egg were perfect. The Cha Shu, however, was a bit dry, tough, and lacks any flavour. The Chicken Karaage looked great but a bit on the dry side as well. Hopefully, I will enjoy my food experience more on my next visit.

I decided to try out this small Japanese restaurant with my grandma on a whim because I was craving Ramen and wanted to try something different.

We tried to eat at this restaurant three times before finally getting a table! On our first attempt, we were starving and found a line of people waiting outside, so we had to come back later.
