I would consider this place a hidden gem since its not very well known. They take cash only.<br/ <br/ Onto the food, their soya chicken and barbecue duck are legit. The charsiu is average to be honest, not as good as HK BBQ Master. I haven't tried their congee but the portion size for barbecue plates are decent and come with some stewed cabbage. If you want good asian barbecue, this place is where to go. PS. they don't have Roast Pork
BBQ duck is a must try!!!. So good that they can afford to close earlier than most other shops at the food court. The skin is crispy and the potion size is large. Used to be cheaper but still very competitive at $8.00 for rice and drink.
Let’s introduce the best cha siu and BBQ duck in the lower mainland (in my opinion) — *drum roll* Tak Fook Noodle and Congee 德福麵家 My story with this food court stall actually goes way back. Living in Richmond, we all know that the epitome of great but cheap Chinese food resides in Parker Place’s food court. During my early teen years, I actually did not like Tak Fook Noodle and Congee at all, although for reasons not related to food quality. I’ve always thought that the lady boss there always had a frown and just looked a bit too mean. Being too shy and easily frightened, I just chose to not get anything from there. However, my passion for cha siu continued to grow, and also the lady across from Tak Fook (I think Good Food? The yellow stall if you know what I’m referring to) looked even more mean than the lady at Tak Fook, so I thought what the heck, it wouldn’t kill me to get cha siu from here. BBQ Pork and BBQ Duck with Rice – 叉鴨飯 Then later on, I’ve realized that the lady boss her
...It is actually a Cantonese noodle and congee stand at Parker Place food court. But their BBQ has a greater reputation. It has become my new favourite place. Their BBQ duck is not too sweet but perfectly balanced. I like that they always give you a side of ginger garlic dip even you are not ordering chicken dishes.
Ever since I stopped working in Richmond, I have been deprived of my usual spot for lunch. Parker Place. I remember it was always busy/packed in the food court during lunchtime on the weekdays(okay, weekends too Has this changed? Now, in order to get my fix, I have come here for dinner and it's far less busy. I actually like it better now, no more having to wait for an empty table and trying to snatch it up before someone else does! It was a weeknight, so Marv, his mom and I ventured off to Parker Place for dinner. Our first stop of the night was Curry Kitchen His mom ordered the Shredded Chicken with Egg on Rice (above left and the Baked Ham and Cream Sauce with Spaghetti. This was a takeout order for Marvs dad and sister. There was a lot of sauce for the rice dish, it was overflowing out of the box! His moms next stop was Shanghai Goodies .
