Everywhere it was really busy and much more expensive. I gave this place a shot and was not disappointed! Great service and tish tacos were made fresh and delicious.

We enjoyed fish tacos from here about a year ago. Since then, when in a restaurant serving fish, I would order fish tacos and was always disappointed that they only never measured up to my first fish tacos in The Village Burgery in Steveston,...Richmond, BC. We discovered this restaurant by chance when it was the only one open on the pier at 9 pm on a Sunday. It's now Tuesday and we've already been back three times. They serve the best fish sandwich I've ever had. I don't understand why this place doesn't have a higher rating. While there are limited seating options, the Lachsburgs and Halibut burgers are unbeatable, especially for the price. My husband is a fan of their oysters as well.

This is a lovely little spot to visit in Steveston on a Saturday if you're hungry and looking to avoid the long queues at the busier restaurants. It's also a great option for vegetarian or vegan diners. One of the menu options is the veggie burger, which is delicious and filling for under $8. I'm not 100% sure if it's vegan, but you can ask about the ingredients to be sure. During my visit, two customers stopped by to compliment the chef on the burger they had just enjoyed.

We live in Vancouver but went for a morning run in Richmond and then stopped in at the Village Burgery for a little something to fill our empty bellies. Super glad we did. The owner, Wendy, greeted us with a big smile and had our...delicious salmon tacos ready in short order. She also threw in a side of fries, even though we didn't order them, because she wanted us to try how fresh and tasty they were--hand cut, not frozen, she explained. We thoroughly enjoyed this tiny place that locals apparently know and love well, and can't wait to return.
