Poppy Thai - Richmond

Had a lovely dinner here. Food was tasty, service was very good our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely food, very tasty, but my husband ordered a fish dish (spicy) and there was a very hot Chilli or similar at the bottom of the dish which caused some havoc with my husband's stomach otherwise very enjoyable.

I am a Thai-Food lover and this is I dare say the best Thai food I've ever had in Nelson. Authentic Thai food served in fine dining atmosphere. Professional service and way too reasonable prices! 10 dollars lunch served with the same amount of respect and warmth. I have tried so many Thai Restaurants around and some of them don't even deserve 4 stars and above. Poppy Thai is way too underrated!

Good food but the service was slow. Competition a few doors down was a completely different experience.

What a disappointment and a joke the food was here, i have dined in many thai food restaurants all over new Zealand and overseas and the food here was way below par and nothing like a true thai restaurant dining experience. I would suggest the owners take the time to go and visit the award winning Thai Chef restaurant in napier for a clue as to what thai food should look and taste like. Definately wont be going back again. The staff were very nice and polite though.
