Last November I celebrated my birthday at Anaviv's. We were a party of eight and we had an absolutely delightful dinner experience that I will recall as one of my finest ever (since 1970) .The room itself is comfortable and intimate and we were attended to by Nick who served a refreshing aperitif along with hot, tasty vegetables cooked tempura style in a delicate batter that we gleefully consumed while touring the kitchen. We sat down and Arnon, our host, introduced us to the chef who promptly served our 1st course; Chicory Salad with Shaved persimmons and walnuts in a tangy Sherry vinaigrette. This was paired with a wonderful 2016 Alsace Gentil Hugel Our second course consisted of Grilled Beets, with a gentle dusting of Cumin (very neat), bathed in Pesto Rosso Sauce. This dish was paired with 2020 Red Car Rose of Pinot Noir Wow!!!Our main course was perfectly seared duck Breast topped with a Juniper Berry Jus and complimented with Brussels Sprouts, Mashed potatoes and black truffle caviar. Our wine: 2018 Savigny-Les Beaune Flourless Coconut Chocolate Cake' with Vanilla Whipped cream (with a candle...of course) capped a perfect meal. This was a great dinner event and it represents a fresh new way to share an experience with close friends and family without the usual restaurant roar. I recommend Anaviv's Table without reservation.
We enjoyed a large wood-fired pizza on the terrace at this restaurant with parking. We tried the chicken pesto and mushroom pizza, as well as the grilled zucchini with goat cheese which was delicious. They have a happy hour with buy one, get one free on selected wines starting at 2 o'clock. The setting is peaceful, except when a train passes by.
This restaurant offers a unique and memorable experience that we are fortunate to have discovered before it becomes too popular. Saturday evenings here feel like a lively family gathering, with children playing and laughter filling the air. Customers of all ages and backgrounds come together to enjoy the makeshift stage where flamenco performers and live musicians entertain weekly. There is no entry fee, but donations are appreciated. The food is fresh and delicious, with highlights like thin-crust pizza cooked in an outdoor oven and locally-produced beer and wine. While it may not be the cheapest option, the quality and atmosphere make it well worth the price. Stop by soon before it becomes too crowded to enjoy the bargain that this restaurant offers.
Bbq bark was good, although the pizza we ordered showed up after our meal when we are ready to go. the waiter apologised that he was so late and said they were technical difficulties in the kitchen. the pizza was tender and undercooked and burned around the edges while the center was teig. they tried to cook a second time and returned less than 60 seconds later with him not even warm. we explained that we had to go and they tried to cook another and we got another pizza order after we waited again, also undercooked. really disappointed by the food quality this time and also the experience how the server treats the problem. the other server gave us a job about it before we were gone.
