Assemble - Richmond

The menu remained the same as it was during our last visit three months ago. We decided to order a Mediterranean happy hour appetizer. Unfortunately, they were out of an East Brothers draft beer and a red blend wine. Our server mentioned that a darker beer option would be nice for winter but didn’t offer any alternatives. The Cabernet we tried was enjoyable. I had the tomato bisque along with a salad. When I asked the young male waiter about dressing options, he couldn’t provide me with any choices. He mentioned they had ranch but no balsamic vinaigrette. I ended up going with the chimichurri dressing, which was also used on my companion's salad. The food arrived fairly quickly and was just okay. While my green salad was fresh, the presentation of the tri-tip salad was nice, though the corn tasted canned rather than roasted. The bisque was also just mediocre. We ordered an additional side of warm pita, which consisted of a single pita cut into six pieces. Service was courteous and satisfactory, though I found one small annoyance with the bill presentation. It was given electronically without an option to review the receipt, leaving us uncertain about the charges—like for the extra pita, for instance. Overall, we had a pleasant afternoon in a nice setting, and I would give the food about 3+ stars, possibly better during busier times.

I can't help but keep coming back to this place. It has a charming rustic elegance, stunning views of the bay, and fantastic customer service. The bar also serves some incredible cocktails. This restaurant is definitely a must-visit, and the walk around the pier is well worth it. The food was exceptional, especially the chilaquiles with eggs for breakfast—what a treat!

The food is simple and casual, but quite satisfactory. The interior is lovely, set in an old factory, and the outdoor area offers nice views of the bay.

They totally accommodated us! We had 8 people and 6 dogs...so very nice..great service ..Even brought out water for all the dogs! Not to mention great food and beautiful views

I never been to this restaurant before but I think I order the wrong breakfast because it was awful I had the poached eggs not good at all but since that was my first time I probably would go back and give it another try.
