I was initially somewhat skeptical when I came in. the walls, the deck and the chandelier were beautiful, but it looked like they ran out of the money on the stands, tables and chairs. also the layout of the menus was simple and beautiful, but they were all crowned. it seemed like they wanted to make something really luxurious, but fell a bit short. we ordered lamb vin d' alho, chicken tikka masala, and chicken Khubani-Zafrani, and some garlauch naan. we also ordered some wine (sauvignon blanc, and vino verde.) Unbelievable, though not cheap. despite the cost, this of the few restaurants in richmond that I visited almost weekly.
This was an absolutely amazing dining experience. The chef is a master of sauces with a creamy Chiken Tika Masala. The soup called Parsnip Bisque was out of this world. A definite 5 star rating from us. Sue and Margaret. Dined Tuesday 04-23-14 7:30 pm.
This is as good as Indian food as you'll find anywhere. In fact, it is better than anything I've ever had in England and is equal to Vancouver's Vij's. However, don't run in for a quick meal. This is fine dining Indian, not fast food. As long as you love Indian food and can cope with spice, you'll find a bit of heaven in Richmond.
Everything was very delicious! Service, food, drinks. The second time I went back we had a large party and did family style. Wow. 35 bucks for I don't even know how many courses. Every one of them was not just good it was great. And everything had a kick, which is a huge plus for me. Not five stars because service was not fast and it was kinda pricey.
