How the eff did this mediocre restaurant consisting of almost all canned and frozen cafeteria quality food get 4.8 stars?? People must have no clue what good food is. Never again. With $25 entrees and $12 appetizers, you expect something better than canned and frozen ingredients. The “seared halibut” special was totally unseasoned and barely seared. It was a plain piece of fish. The few tiny dots of red pepper coulis was clearly largely diluted with canned unseasoned tomato sauce. The artichoke and pea side was almost all peas — which were frozen and unseasoned. Like a hospital cafeteria. Ditto the rice, which also seems pre made. The $10 bowl of avgolemono soup was mostly a base of canned, premade vegetable soup. (The square carrot cubes are a sure tipoff. We love avgolemano but we couldn’t eat more than a spoonful. Just amazing. The store made bread rolls were hard and stale and came with little packets of butter white plastic and foil top, like at a picnic or a country diner. Unforgivable for these prices. Honestly the food is 3 stars, in that it was OK, except the high prices and failed expectations bring that down. The restaurant is nearby and owned by Dot’s Back Inn — another way overrated so so restaurant.
