Henley On Grace - Richmond

Small, cozy, reasonably upscale restaurant, with nice ambience, moderate to quiet noise level. Excellent/knowledgeable service from our server, Grady; also had the owner come by to check up on our experience towards end of the meal. Excellent appetizer (Grilled Naan truffle mushroom bread), and we each enjoyed our entrees. Huge wine list; we discovered an Italian Gwertz that was exceptional. Shared a very nice dessert (dark chocolate cake not too sweet, fine flavor). Only small disappointment was that the scallops entree was not available that evening we will have to return to sample that another day.

This place is beautiful, the staff was friendly, our waiter was outstanding. I am sure it is a great place for a happy hour or dinner, especially due to the outstanding wine selection, the location and the atmosphere. We were there for Sunday brunch, so I chose the staff recommended chicken and waffles. It simply wasn 't good. The gravy was cold when it arrived, the chicken was completely tasteless, and the bacon infused waffle was very bland. Nothing on the plate was hot. It was disappointing. My friend had one of the sandwich plates, and she said hers was very good, so I will give them another try in the future.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Henley on Grace that was the perfect post-theater date night. William's hospitality and Ali's service were on-point. We highly recommend the Naan bread to start and the lobster truffle pasta special was delicious! We were made to feel like regulars and will definitely be back the next time we are in Richmond. Dinner was superb: We made reservations for my 50th and everyone had an excellent meal. Drinks were great then the service was the best. Highly recommended and we will most definitely be returning!

Excellent dinner! Our table enjoyed the seafood tower which had huge cocktail shrimp and large portions of crab, a fantastic price for a hearty portion. Everything we had was wonderful from the scallops to the duck breast and the pistachio ricotta cake and lemoncello cake were great desserts to finish the evening. We will definitely be back!
