Feedback gevenHi, I'm reaching out through this review in hopes of finding a resolution to an issue I've encountered with a gift card purchase from JewFro. Last year, I bought a $150 gift card for my parents, anticipating the opening of JewFro's new location in Raleigh, North Carolina. This was under the impression, supported by the restaurant's announcements, that the gift card could be used there, making it a perfect gift for my family who lives in Raleigh.Unfortunately, the plans for the Raleigh location were scrapped, and now, my family and I are in a difficult position as we cannot use the gift card in Richmond due to geographical constraints. I have made several attempts to contact JewFro for a possible refund or another solution, including direct calls and emails to the owner, but to no avail.I understand that changes in business plans can happen, but I am disappointed in the lack of communication and customer support in resolving this matter. I am still hopeful for a response or a gesture that acknowledges the inconvenience caused, ideally in the form of a refund or other compensatory measures.I've always admired JewFro's unique offerings and was excited about sharing this experience with my family. It's unfortunate that this situation has overshadowed what could have been a great customer experience. I hope this review prompts JewFro to improve their communication and customer service regarding unforeseen changes in their operations.Thank you for taking the time to address this concern.
That Deli Roll Wellington alone is reason enough to go to this place. Great place, loved it, definitely coming back!
What a disappointment! We were really looking forward to dinner last night after hearing great reviews. First thay sat us at s cramped table. The host/server was wearing a mask but somehow still doesn't know how to do to properly, in 2024. He tried to take our order without writing it diwn but could not remember it.We ordered the challah with dips. The bread was good but the soicy butter was flavorless. The potato app was also a dissapointment. My $14 smoked whiskey drink lacked a smoky flavor! Now onto on meals. The falafel (ordered as a s main) was fried at too hot of a temp making it too dark on the outside, greasy, and raw inside. The gnocchi were also very disappointing! The dumplings themselves were good and so was the sauce but there were only sbout 10 gnocchi and Im guessing about 1 tablespoon of sauce. The service was lackluster at best with our server dound double duty as host and somehow ignoring us while standing immediately adjacent to our table!! The price I was charged for my wine was more than what was on the menu. The remedied it but that should not happen!! Imagine how many people didn't notice. We ended the night with a $190 bill and were all still hungry.
Best meal I've had in a LONG time I had the gnocchi with brisket. My wife had the African peanut soup and falafel which was incredible as well. Everything was perfectly seasoned. I only wish the lighting was a little more intimate/warm. Still a great place for a date night. Servers were knowledgeable but not overbearing.
Best restaurant in RVA!!! I took my family that was visiting from out of town tonight. There was nothing but raves about everything we ordered. We got almost the entire menu.Fabulous cocktails Elijah’s Ascensiom and Song of the Sea.Appetizers to die for including 1000 potato Kugel and Foie Gras deliciousness.Entrees including Tenderloin, Lamb shank, Short Ribs ,Gnocchi, and Salmon We shared almost everything on the menu. Wonderful surprises with the Jewish and African spices and amazing sides! Sorry that I didn't take pictures as we were enjoying Ari's fabulous creations. This is truly my favorite restaurant restaurant in RVA, and I couldn't do it justice in describing the fusion, spices, and love put into every dish.Just go try it and fall in love My few pictures show the finger licking joy ?
