Kat's Breakfast Lunch - Richmond

I recently visited Kat's Breakfast for the first time, and I have to say it was an excellent choice and a fantastic experience! Initially, I intended to order my food to go, but the inviting atmosphere caught my attention, and I decided to stay and enjoy my meal on-site. The staff members were all smiling, and it genuinely seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. While I was eating, a man came over to my table—I'm not sure if he was the owner, but I'll assume he was! He asked if I needed anything and if I was enjoying my meal.

This charming small business is located in the heart of downtown and serves up quick breakfast and brunch options. Be prepared for lines that often extend out the door! If you're short on time, I highly recommend placing your order 20 to 30 minutes in advance. The portion sizes are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. Only two or three people manage the counter, so be sure to tip them well—they're truly living the American dream. It's wonderful to witness the resurgence of small businesses like this one.

Can I give this place 6 stars? The food was just as delicious as I had hoped. The breakfast sandwich was cooked to perfection, and the home fries were a delightful addition. The customer service was outstanding; the staff was attentive, frequently checking in on us, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. I'm really happy I discovered this hidden gem!

2nd experience. I brought my Mom w/me today. She loves french toast. she really did say it was possibly the best ever. I had the Cristo sandwich, simply amazing. A great experience. They didn't have the lemon cake this time. I look forward to it on my next visit.

I stopped in for the first time today at approx 8am while I was downtown getting my car serviced. Very clean place, good food, and extremely friendly staff, they welcome you the minute you walk in the door and service was awesome! Kudos to the staff! I wish everyone was this friendly and helpful.
