Zzq Texas Craft Barbeque - Richmond

The restaurant was packed, but fortunately, there’s plenty of seating and a lovely outdoor area. The space is filled with natural light and the delicious aroma of smoked meats wafting through the air. The brisket was incredibly tender and tasted amazing! The mac and cheese had a nice kick to it but was very flavorful and satisfying. The cornbread was dense and excellent! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the banana pudding; it felt like there was too much Cool Whip and not enough wafers and banana. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I waited about 10 minutes to place my order and was informed that it would take around 30 minutes to be ready due to a large takeout order they had just received. No problem! I grabbed my drink and dessert (the banana pudding was delicious), found a seat, and entertained myself on my phone. Surprisingly, my food was ready in about 15 minutes. When my sandwich arrived, I couldn't help but think it looked a bit small, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually more than enough food—not excessive, just the right portion. I'll definitely be returning soon!

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff provided personal attention and helped with menu choices, suggesting combinations for a diverse meal. The portion sizes were just right.

Mannnn!!! They are delicious delicious delicious!!! I no longer eat meat, but let me tell you something....when I did....this place was my go to. Very flavorful and hefty potions of meat... Now be prepared, because the prices are about as hefty as their meat portions. Way too high!!!! But i never complained because i was on a mission and I knew what I wanted. They run out of meat some days bc their reputation is just that good. You wont be dissapointed..... Not a high end restaurant. If you want pounds of delicious meat, served on a paper lined tray, then this is the place. Great bar. Great atmosphere. Great food. And always great service.

Man this place was packed with a very long line at noon on a Thursday but it was worth the wait which in reality was not that long considering the amount of people in line! The restaurant itself had nice decor with indoor and out door seating. The food was great, I would say up at the top of the list I've had here in Richmond. We ordered a half pound of brisket the turkey sandwich along with the cowboy beans, potato salad, and the Mac n cheese and all of it was good. We definitely would go back again!
