I have been a frequent visitor ever since, and Goldsor does not disappoint. Their operation hours changed over the years, but currently, they're the only HK café I know of that opens 7 days a week, from 8am to 7pm. Great service and food are reasonably priced, worth visiting if you're craving for HK café food.
Always busy with neighborhood repeat customers.Open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Closed for dinner. Afternoon tea starts at 1500.Be prepared for a noisy environment as everyone including the staff speaking with very loud voices, lol, Hong Kong style. 2 TVs on the wall broadcasting Fairchild.Afternoon tea includes a drink (cold lemon tea extra $1.50)Typical cha cheng teng style food, nothing fancy but comforting and filling.Their beef curry rice always hits the spot for me, tender beef and curry is mild.Their fried fish is always moist, tender with a nice crispy coating.Been here plenty of times for their breakfast, not bad either. So lucky to have this neighborhood restaurant within my living area
Very fast service. Cheap and delicious food. Staff remembers your order if you are a frequent customer. I recommend their sizzling plates.
The flat spaghetti with ox tongue and tomato sauce is nice. The tomato sauce is well mixed but can be more sour. The ox tongue is soft. The Hong Kong style milk tea is silky. The attendants are polite, attentive and diligent. They can also maintain this good attitude during peak hours. Impressive.
HK Milk tea was ok. In the middle between good and bad. Tea came out warm instead of hot, and black tea was not strong enough.Satay beef vermicelli soup base was very good. Real satay taste. But the beef has not been marinated enough, resulting in non tender meat.
